The 学校健康教育 program prepares individuals to teach health in junior high and high school settings. Graduates are qualified to work in both public and private schools and must obtain state-issued certification or licensure.
Secondary school health educators deliver instruction aligned with the approved state curriculum, covering key topics such as healthy behaviors, mental and emotional health, substance abuse prevention, nutrition, and human development.
In addition to teaching, health educators design assignments, develop and administer assessments, evaluate student performance, and maintain academic records. They also communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues, serve on school committees, collaborate with peers, and engage in ongoing professional development.
学生s must earn a degree in Secondary Education to qualify for the School Health Education minor.
