His gift was recognized at an early age and was fueled by supportive parents who kept him supplied with paints, pencils, paper and clay.

Greg earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University and an MFA from the Hartford Art School under the mentorship of such illustration industry legends as Murray Tinkelman, C.F Payne and Gary Kelley. His skill set has grown to include digital illustration and gallery oil painting to compliment his traditional drawing and painting. Greg always felt it a privilege to make the world a more beautiful place through his paintings and reaches for that goal every time he picks up a brush.

She also drew horses and learned to read at age four. If she were to paint a snowman, she would paint with dots like Georges Seurat. Her favorite dinosaur is a stegosaurus. She is an avid board game player and has a deep appreciation for chocolate. She and her husband, illustrator 格雷格·纽伯尔德, enjoy hiking, camping, and taking road trips. When not traveling, Amy enjoys exploring the world through books.

(Upper Skagit) grew up in Seattle, nestled between the sea, the mountains, and the pages of her favorite books. Her debut novel, 我可以许下这个承诺, was a best book of the year from NPR, as well as a Charlotte Huck Award Honor Book, and an American Indian Youth Literature Award Honor Book. Her second novel, 冬天的大海, was a Top 10 Indie Kids’ Next List selection, a finalist for the Pacific Northwest Book Award, and an American Indian Youth Literature Award Honor Book. Ellen has since written several young adult novels in verse, exposing teenage struggles such as drug addiction and mental illness. She holds the not entirely enviable title of “Most Banned Author” in America, but is a strong supporter of the first amendment and a soldier in the anti-book banning army. She also has two books written for middle grade students; 威尔呢? and 无路可走

Conference provides an opportunity for teachers, parents, librarians and others to discuss and share the best in books, teaching, and innovations for changing lives through literacy.

Fostering a love for reading is not a curricular objective taught in schools, isn't regulated by state or federal legislation and isn't assessed by state or school districts. The lack of attention in schools and in homes has resulted in an exponential increase in aliteracy.

At the 为了热爱阅读 Conference we learn how to make a difference by engaging readers to develop a life-long passion for reading and learning.

Join us at our annual conference to learn how you can make a difference in the lives of young readers.

UVU's Forum on 进行阅读 gives educators, professionals, parents and leaders the opportunity to learn from local, state, and national experts who are 获奖作家和插画家,谁是 leaders in literacy education and reading motivation. These experts join us to  inspire individuals
to foster a greater love for reading and learning.

People who attend the conference leave with motivation and inspiration to immediately apply innovative ideas and strategies that will open a world of determination, imagination and endless possibilities in the literacy lives of
young people.

Conference empowers participants to engage and motivate students as life-long readers. While concerned educators and legislators continue filling the gaps in essential literacy skills and resources, we are continually challenged by young readers who have not learned to love reading, and who, without your inspiration,  may never hold a book to their hearts and say, “I have to find another book like this one!”

It takes as little as $250 to sponsor a dynamic presenter with answers and ideas we can take home with us and turn on one, or a whole room full of young readers.

Your donation today means new programs, new presenters, new first-time attendees, and new inspiration for all of us who want to make a difference in children’s reading lives. Will you or someone you know consider sponsoring a scholarship, a speaker, or a special event at our next conference?
