The U.S. Department of Education has awarded a 31.5美元 million seven-year GEAR UP grant to 犹他谷大学. The grant is led by Barney Nye, Associate Vice President of 学生 Affairs, and Ruben Rocha, Director of 准备好犹他.
“We are thrilled to announce that 犹他谷大学 has been awarded the prestigious GEAR UP award for the next 7 years from the U.S. Department of Education. Utah Valley University competed in a nationwide grant competition and obtained the highest score and thus granted 31.5美元 million to serve low-income students throughout the state. 这项新拨款是迄今为止犹他谷大学获得的最大一笔拨款。 This grant will play a pivotal role in helping 准备好犹他 achieve the goals of helping those underserved students in achieving their college dreams, and we are incredibly grateful for the confidence and trust that 犹他谷大学 has placed in our work. We look forward to using this opportunity to further our mission of providing awareness, academic readiness, and opportunities for all 准备好犹他 students by engaging them early, expanding their capacities, increasing student expectations for successful completion of high school, and supporting students in their pursuit of post-secondary education and future aspirations.”
