The 人文社会科学学院 provides programs and services that can help address mental and behavioral health in our community. Graduate students in our Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs and undergraduates in our Bachelor of Social Work program provide over 100,000 hours per year of service as part of their training and education.
The 弗吉尼亚大学社区精神健康诊所 provides free counseling to community members in need and specifically reaches out to members of underprivileged or marginalized communities. The therapy provided at the clinic allows individuals, families, and couples to work with a counselor on various problems, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, identity, behavioral issues, etc.
A gift of support to the clinic will allow patients to receive quality treatment at no cost and provides students the opportunity to learn, grow, and serve within their community. We need your support to keep these services accessible to our community while fostering these students' educational experiences as they develop their professional skills as they provide services to those in need.
