犹他谷大学’s 紧急 Medical Technician and Advanced 紧急 Medical Technician programs provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform emergency care and transport. 学生s can become certified through the Utah Bureau of EMS and National Registry Certification.

紧急医疗救援人员s provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who access the emergency medical services system. EMRs have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide immediate lifesaving interventions while waiting for additional EMS resources to arrive.

They are employed by large companies, corporations, manufacturers, and other industries for onsite 紧急 Medical Services.

The EMR licensure training extends beyond First Aid and CPR certification but is the least intense training and scope of practice compares to EMT, Advanced EMT or Paramedic.  

Those with an EMR license typically assist when and where pre-hospital health professionals, such as Paramedics, are not available. The course prepares students for certification as a National Registry 紧急医疗救援人员.

学生必须在课程完成后120天内年满18岁。

学生s must also complete their CPR certification at the beginning of the course in order to continue with the rest of the class. 

要注册，请注册ESEC 1140。 Classes are each semester (Fall, Spring, Summer), three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

  • Fall class options are mornings (9 am- 1 pm) afternoons (1:30-5:20 pm), and evenings (6-9:50 pm). 
  • 春季课程的选择是下午（下午1:30-5:20）和晚上（晚上6-9:50）。
  • 暑期班只在晚上上课（6-9:50 pm）。

Upon completion, students can become a certified EMT through the Utah Bureau of EMS and National Registry Certification by passing the national exam.

AEMT

Advanced 紧急 Medical Technician (AEMT) prepares students for certification as an 紧急 Medical Technician-Advanced through the Utah Bureau of EMS.

学生s must have valid Utah EMT Certification (National Registry) and be CPR certified at a HealthCare provider level throughout the course.

Instruction build off of skills already obtained in the EMT class / certification and includes:

  • 学生s will earn upon completion of the class certifications in: ACLS, BLS, PALS, PHTLS

Classes are offered Fall and Spring semesters on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30–9:30 pm.
