伦理学研究中心 supports programs that advance environmental sustainability and related areas of public policy. For the past twenty-five years, the center has hosted an annual 环境伦理研讨会 to explore the complex relations between human beings and the natural world.

Previous conferences include “Energy Alternatives for the Twenty-First Century,” “Ecosystems Ethics and Environmental Policy,” and “What is the Value of Wilderness?” Participants have included J. Baird Callicott, David Rothenberg, Terry Tempest Williams, Tom Zeller, Jr., Deni Elliott, Chip Ward, and Robert Solomon.

The center also sponsors the大卫·r·凯勒可持续发展奖 awarded to  organizations in support of exceptional innovation and leadership on sustainability issues. Prize recipients are governmental, non-profit, and for-profit organizations.
