关于机构动物护理和使用委员会 

The 犹他谷大学 机构动物护理和使用委员会 (IACUC) is charged by the federal government with regulating the care and use of nonhuman vertebrate animals in 研究 and instruction. The IACUC performs prospective and continuing review of protocols, to ensure that the care and use of vertebrate animals is conducted ethically and in compliance with the 动物福利法, 公共卫生服务政策, and with other applicable federal, state, local and institutional requirements.

According to University 652年政策 the IACUC is responsible to ensure the humane care and use of vertebrate animals in 研究, 测试, or 教学 conducted at, or on behalf of, the University. No such activities involving vertebrate animals may be conducted without IACUC review and approval. University employees and students and UVU-affiliated 研究ers must perform all such 研究 and instruction in compliance with the highest standards of ethics, practice, and conduct of each of the fields or disciplines involved in each specific 研究 project or instructional activity.
