In addition to unsubsidized loans, the federal Graduate PLUS loan is also available to students pursuing a graduate degree. However, before a Graduate PLUS loan can be originated for a graduate student, UVU must calculate the student's Stafford loan eligibility according to the annual and aggregate maximum amounts. We encourage graduate students to accept and maximize their unsubsidized Stafford loans before applying for a Graduate PLUS loan.
